This website brings together a range of e-Science software resources being developed at the University of Sheffield (Department of French and Humanities Research Institute).

It provides a gateway showcasing our online tools and resources via a small subset of the total data.

Navigate around the site by using the menu bar at the top of the page.

Registered and authenticated visitors can access our complete dataset, using the online software tools. Other visitors can access fully functioning demonstrations.

Please note that some of the software tools accessible from this website require Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Version 1.5 or above to be installed. If you don't have this installed on your machine, you can download it free of charge from the Sun Java website.

The content datasets are held on a secure data grid (using Storage Resource Broker - SRB) federated over WUN (Worldwide Universities Network). This means that the data files can be distributed between our partner sites around the world.
